PDCA Cycle

As the Department of Software Engineering at Simav Faculty of Technology, we adopt the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle to continuously improve our educational quality. This cycle helps us evaluate every stage of our teaching processes and maximize our students' development.

1. Plan

The foundation of our educational processes is built upon industry needs and innovative technologies. While designing a curriculum to enhance our students' knowledge and skills, we take both academic and industrial feedback into account. Our department constantly updates educational materials and course content to ensure students possess the most current knowledge in the field of software engineering.

2. Do

We effectively implement our curriculum to achieve the educational goals we have established. Through interactive lectures with faculty members, practical applications, projects, and internship opportunities, our students find the chance to translate theoretical knowledge into practice. Furthermore, by utilizing the latest software development tools and technologies, we ensure our students are fully prepared for the industry.

3. Check

We regularly measure the effectiveness of our educational processes. We continuously monitor the teaching process through student achievements, project evaluations, feedback forms, and surveys. Additionally, by evaluating the performance of our faculty members and the efficiency of educational materials, we identify areas for improvement at every stage. This "Check" phase allows us to monitor quality continuously and make adjustments based on requirements.

4. Act

In line with the data obtained, we address identified deficiencies and take preventive measures in areas requiring improvement. We make adjustments to teaching methods, technological tools, or practical applications to contribute further to student development. Moreover, by strengthening our collaborations with the industry, we enable our students to gain experience and step into successful careers in software engineering.

The PDCA Cycle assists our department in continuously reviewing educational processes and supporting student development in the best possible way. This cycle does not only track student success but also aims to improve all elements related to the teaching process. In this way, we aim to provide a better education every semester and strive to raise high-quality graduates in the field of software engineering.
