Mission

The Department of Software Engineering aims to cultivate graduates who possess highly developed industrial and academic skills. Our graduates are equipped with a strong sense of professional ethics, enabling them to pursue diverse career opportunities worldwide. In this context, our Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) are defined as follows:

  • Professional Success: To actively participate in engineering applications within the private or public sector in the field of Software Engineering or related disciplines.

  • Lifelong Learning: To engage in lifelong learning activities, such as graduate studies and professional certification programs, for continuous professional development.

  • Leadership and Teamwork: To play an effective role in solving engineering problems through project management, teamwork, and leadership skills.

  • Ethics and Social Responsibility: To act with a strong sense of responsibility, considering the social, environmental, and ethical impacts of engineering solutions.

Vision

Our program encompasses both theoretical and practical engineering education. The medium of instruction is Turkish. Courses are delivered not only according to the core curriculum but also include elective courses designed to meet the professional needs of students in their future careers. Our graduates are expected to achieve the following:

  • Engineering Applications: To successfully execute engineering applications in the public or private sector by utilizing their skills in solving engineering problems, system design, and analysis.

  • Lifelong Learning: To keep pace with advancements in information technologies and engineering, and to pursue postgraduate education as part of their commitment to lifelong learning.
